Harlachinger Einkehr is a beer garden that, like Siebenbrunn about a quarter mile away, can be enjoyed as a logical stop-off during a visit to Hellabrunn Zoo. The restaurant and beer garden is on a hill overlooking the zoological exhibits. It caters to a local list of customers and is a slice of everyday life in Munich (altag). League-sanctioned card games are always in vogue here and the bend in the road marks a comfortable corner lokal frequented by loyal neighborhood stalwarts. This establishment has struggled in recent times and was dropped from earlier editions of The Beer Drinker's Guide to Munich. However, new management completely rehabilitated the interior restaurant and beer garden so we've added this beer establishment back to the 7th edition. The beer they now serve is Augustiner, another improvement. Harlachinger Einkehr is again a worthy venue for a visit to blue-collar neighborhood beer garden and best paired with Siebenbrunn nearby. It gets 3 beers.
