Löwenbräu Keller is the restaurant and beer garden annex to the massive Löwenbräu Brewery in Munich. The current edifice opened its doors June 14, 1883 with more than 8,000 seats. Most of it was destroyed during a bombing raid in 1944 and the rebuilt beerhall and beer garden are together much smaller today. It holds a sumptuous restaurant and a casual "Pils-Bar" that is a spot to see and be seen, and maybe meet some people. Löwenbräu Keller is one of the few large Munich establishments that is just about equal in size inside and out. It is especially convenient to the local U-bahn (1) stop at Stiglmaier Platz across the street. Löwenbräu Keller gets 4 beers.
